Nursery

First days at school, spent in play, song and story rather than at a desk.

Introduction

A gentle beginning on the hill

Our Nursery section welcomes the youngest members of the Lourdes Hill family into a warm, unhurried environment where school feels like an extension of home. Days are built around play, rhyme, colour and movement, and early literacy and numeracy are woven into activity rather than drilled.

Teachers and helpers work in small groups so that every child is greeted by name, comforted when needed and encouraged to speak, sing and explore. Sharing, listening and simple prayer are taught alongside letters and numbers, forming habits of kindness from the very first year.
